Why is Bill Dog so inexpensive?

Bill Dog has been designed and built from the ground up to solve the complex problem of medical billing and claims issues management.  The combination of next generation technology and an experienced pool of doctors, nurses, medical administrators, and insurance and financial technology professionals allow the service to be offered at a highly competitive price.

How many bills can a member send?

The Bill Dog service starts on an effective date. Bills received on or after that service start date qualify for the Bill Dog service. A member can send as many invoices after the service start date.

Can I contact Bill Dog?

Yes.  Our members can use the mobile app or call the support line at any time.  The email address is support@billdog.com.

Can Bill Dog make any medical decisions on my behalf?

No.   Bill Dog is only to be used after a service is performed and invoices and assorted correspondence has been sent.    Bill Dog inquires to providers are only in regards to invoices , administration, and related correspondence.

Is Bill Dog part of an insurance carrier or healthcare provider ?

No.  Bill Dog is an independent firm that provides a service exclusively for the benefit of its members.   Bill Dog works with any insurance company or healthcare provider.

Can Bill Dog make any changes to my insurance on my behalf?

No.   Bill Dog is only to be used after a service is performed and invoices and assorted correspondence has been sent.    Bill Dog inquires to insurance companies are only performed in response to invoices and assorted correspondence.

When Bill Dog negotiates a bill reduction, do they keep any of the savings?

No. Never.  When Bill Dog corrects or negotiates a bill reduction, our member keeps 100% of the savings.

Will Bill Dog negotiate any bill?

No.   There are many bills that are straightforward, accurate and where the member is obligated to pay the bill in its entirety.   Balance bills for out of network or non-covered procedures may be eligible for negotiation or appeal.  

How does Bill Dog protect customer privacy?

Does Bill Dog Provide Clinical Advice?

No.   Bill Dog does not offer clinical advice or pre-procedure provider decision making support.

Can Bill Dog predict how much a planned procedure will cost?

No.   Bill Dog does not get involved with pre-procedure price shopping or negotiation.  Bill Dog should be contacted by members at the moment a medical bill or any related notice or correspondence has been received.
